Hi everyone. What do you think about "Poor and Rich"? I was sad to know that the gap between poor people(or countries) and rich people(or countries) is growing. I think I am a rich though I have little money. I can eat food, have place to sleep, can enjoy entertainment, have education....There are many things 'I can' even thogh I don't have much money. On the other hand most of poor people can't. I used to think the situation of poor people was getting better because many rich countries have sent stuffs and given money to poor countries. Though I realized that I was wrong. Just sending stuffs annd giving money are just contemporary help. If this kind of 'help' continued, poor people would keep depending on stuffs from rich countries. I mean, we need to help poor people to become independent. For example, they need to learn hou to write&read, how to grow food, and how to start business. I had a poster presentaton about Indonesia. Indonesia is a developing country but their situations are getting better. Indonesia has many temples and beautiful beaches for marine sports, so they learned how to attract people in foreign countries to come to Indonesia. Then they started earning money from Tourism. I think every poor country has its own feature which can attract people from rich countries. Also, the raising awareness about poor people and countries will help poor people more. It is thanks to globalization.

Hey, everyone. Have you ever seen the commercial message of cup ramen? That is taken place in a wasteland. Two groups of men were walking towards each other, and they were about to start fighting...but next, they picked up the cup ramen and started to eat with smiles. This peaceful CM is my favorite. I want you to see it on TV because I can't explain the CM well on this blog. Fighting and eating with a smile are different, but I really felt something in my mind when I saw it at my first time. Though that cup ramen can't make this world peaceful, it reminds me that every people who is fighting is a real people, not soldier without heart. They eat, smile, chat, love just like me. Then, if everyone is a REAL people, why don't wars and conflicts dissapear? Is there anyone who lost his/her heart as a human on this earth?
During the Iraq war, Yoko Ono advertised IMAGINE on a lot of newspapers. How many people were moved with her message? Unfortunatery, I couldn't see the newspaper, but the message came into my mind directly when Scott show me the advertisement during class. Weren't the presidents and the Prime Ministers, who support the Iraq war, moved with the message?
Would they stop fighting if their beloved were killed? or, are they lost their heart completely? If so, WHO ARE THEY?

Hey my fellow friends. Let me talk about labor today. I'm sure you all know that GAP used(I don't know if they are still or no more) child labor. They employed children at their factories. Don't they know that children should not work except for helpig their housework? In Japan, children who are under 16 are not allowed to work. Also, the maximum workinghours and days are provided by the Labor Standards law. So I can't work more than 8 hours in a day and I can't work more than 7 days continuously. I often work 8 hours on weekends and 5 days in a week. But one day when I asked a schedule manager to give me some days off, he rejected my request. I needed some days off because I have some presentations, reports, and test. Aren't these reasons enough to get some days off?? Besides, why ever could he force me to work whenever he need me?? I got really angry at that time and was about to say "Ok. I quit the job". I didn't quit because I have some skill in working there. However I start thinkng about the situation at my workplace. I think everyone can get days off when they want to have. I rarely ask the manager to give me days off especially on holidays and weekends because I know there are not enough workers there on these holidays. So I got more angry because of his thoughtless manner. Does he think I'm a free university student? It can't be! I think he doesn't know I do my homework after my part-time job(about 10:45pm). The thoughtless people like him try to control employee. Luckly I can oppose my manager. Also I can quit my part-time job when I will not be able to stand this situation any more. However, poor children can't do that. I think many factory like GAP's need observer from the Labor Standards Bureau.

Hellow everyone. Do you know where I live? Some of you know that I live in Nara. I'd like to talk about my hometown today. I move to Nara from Osaka when I was 6 years old and at that time I was surprised to see rice fields which spread as far as the eye could see. I have only one convenient store in my town. Yes, where I live is the country side in Nara. I really like here because the air is clean and people are not busy. Also I can hear the frog singing resent nights and the bugs singing the nights in autumn. However I can get to the nearest station from my house within 15 minute by bicycle and it sounds convenient, doesn't it? I'm happy to live in the convenient country side. But now I'm worried about my town. It's becoming like a city... I used to see fireflies (lightning bugs called HOTARU in Japanese) in summer, but I can't see them any more in my town because of the environment was polluted. It is not visible, but I realized it thanks to fireflies. I think not all countries should be cities. There are lots of things which are belong to only country sides, and losing these because of the inhabitants' convenience or just using money vainly. I think we don't need so many meaningless constluctions and facilities. I can't understand why people who plan these things want their towns to become cities. They go to country side on their vacation, don't they? How ridiculous!! I know some problems which the people in country side have so only such things should be improved. I'd like to tell the mayor that "I don't need more cities in Japan, thank you". I wish I could see fireflies in my town someday. Have you ever seen them? According to my grandad, there were many fireflies and they seemed like stars when I was a little child. Let's wish upon stars 。☆:'☆`‥☆∵。☆ミ’☆゚
